Areas studied included application performance, design guides and instructions, warranty/guarantee, appearance, and application features. The J.D. Power and Associates consumer study was based on 7,440 respondents who purchased and applied interior paint within the previous 12 months.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are carbon-containing chemical compounds that readily evaporate into the atmosphere. Common examples of things that emit VOCs into the atmosphere include gasoline, mineral spirits, alcohol, nail polish, and paint.
